Quantum and Classical Computers

Quantum Computer

Quantum computer uses the principles of quantum physics to increase the computational power beyond what is attainable by a traditional computer.

Our computers function by storing data in a binary number format, which result in a series of 1s & 0s (bit) retained in electronic components such as transistors.

Quantum Computer Would store information as either 1 or 0 or Q-bit (quantum superposition of the two states).

A quantum computer is a type of computer that uses quantum-mechanical phenomena, such as superposition and entanglement, to perform operations on data. Unlike classical computers, which process information using bits, quantum computers use quantum bits, or qubits. This allows them to perform certain types of computations much faster than classical computers, making them useful for tasks such as cryptography, simulation, and optimization. However, they are also more difficult to build and maintain, and their full potential is still being researched.

The story goes that a man is mining for gold and after digging for many days, he comes across a large vein of gold just three feet away from where he had been digging. However, he is so discouraged by his lack of success that he gives up and sells the mine to another person. The new owner continues to dig and finds the vein of gold just three feet away from where the previous miner had stopped. The moral of the story is that success is often so close, but giving up just before achieving it. It highlights the importance of not giving up and to keep pushing through difficult times to achieve success.
